Use of neonatal massage techniques to help optimize sleep, comfort, and neurodevelopment results
Increase bonding opportunities for infants and caregivers while optimizing infant development.
Incorporation of Neuroprotective Care practices including Skin-to-Skin contact (also called kangaroo care), swaddled bathing, 2-person caregiving, and therapeutic positioning & handling.
The purpose of providing massage therapy for infants is to assist in overall improvement in long-term development and create increased bonding between caregivers and their child.
